When text leaves your computer

Only when you request a suggestion or run the connection test. Your selected text or active field draft, writing action, language, script and instructions go directly to the provider you select. The entire webpage is not sent. Model-catalog refresh fetches public OpenRouter model metadata.

What is kept locally

Settings, excluded hostnames, and your API key. Keys are session-only by default. If you choose Remember this key, it is stored locally without encryption. Website scripts are not given the saved key by the extension. Drafts and undo copies remain in page memory until navigation or replacement; there is no saved writing history, analytics, advertising, or SentenceNest server.

Your provider’s rules

OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or your custom endpoint processes the requested text under its own terms and privacy policy. Free models can be unavailable or rate-limited. Paid providers may charge you. The extension does not guarantee provider retention policies or language accuracy.

Control what gets edited

Focus an ordinary text field and click the SentenceNest button. Review the source passage, generate a suggestion, and inspect it before applying. SentenceNest does not press Send. Select a sentence to protect surrounding formatting. Translation changes language; Change script converts Romanized writing to native letters or back. Choose a specific target language for these actions.

Sensitive sites and fields

Password, card, OTP, credential and some identifier fields are skipped using field metadata. Sensitive content in an ordinary field is not automatically classified. Use Disable this site, or add hostnames in Settings. Remove a saved key through Settings. Uninstalling removes extension storage.

Limits and troubleshooting

Reload websites after installation. The extension works with ordinary inputs, textareas and standard contenteditable editors. Chrome internal pages, protected store pages, canvas editors, closed shadow roots and unusual app-managed editors may not support it. If Apply is rejected, copy the revision manually. Rich drafts with signatures, links or formatting require a selected passage. If you keep typing while a suggestion is generated, reopen the assistant to review your new draft.

There are presets for the 22 scheduled Indian languages plus English; type another language name to request it. Support is model-dependent, especially for dialects, rare languages and Romanized text. This development release was tested with synthetic editor fixtures, not live Gmail or WhatsApp.
